I made these cakes for my nieces' birthday party! They are both obsessed with all things princess so I decided to make them the old school Barbie cakes (from the torso up is an actual Barbie). I sculpted the dress portion out of cake and covered it my homemade marshmallow fondant to look like a ballgown. These cakes were really tall (5 layers each!) and each serve approximately 20. Both of my nieces LOVED them (and got to keep the Barbie!)!

Purse Cake
This is a sculpted cake (it measures about 9 inches long, 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide) and is covered and decorated in my homemade marshmallow fondant. It is entirely edible! This is my new favorite cake (I really love the zipper!) and my client was thrilled! It was for her mom's birthday and her mom really loves purses, especially Coach.

Girl Dinosaur
Lego Cake
This 9x12 cake was for a boy's 4th birthday and he loves Legos and Lego video games (especially Lego Indiana Jones) so they wanted this set of toy legos on top of the cake. I added an extra little hill of cake for an action scene and "sand" from graham cracker crumbs. The sides of the cake had chocolate chunks pressed into the chocolate buttercream icing because he loves chocolate!

Underwater Cake
This cake was made for my husband's uncle's 50th birthday. He loves fish (especially clown fish) and this cake turned out to be one of my favorites! The top tier is 6" and the bottom is 8", both are covered in fondant and decorated with fondant seaweed, coral, shells and sign. The sand is graham cracker crumbs and the 50 and fish are made from royal icing.

Princess Birthday Cake
These cakes were for my nieces' 1st & 2nd birthdays. Each tier is covered in fondant (except for the small cakes which are only covered in buttercream) and then decorated with hand piped buttercream accents. The top cushion cake (yes, this is a cake too!) was my favorite part of the cake and I even made the little pink fondant buttons!
