This giraffe cake was for my godson's first birthday. Yes, I know it doesn't have a long neck, but it was meant to be a cutesy, baby no-neck giraffe based off of one of his stuffed animals! This cake was sculpted and is covered and decorated in buttercream icing and his ears, horns, and tail are made from my homemade marshmallow fondant.
I am in California, and would love to make one of these cakes as I too have a passion for baking. Could you tell me, was this sculpted from scratch or from a cake pan?
