Copenhagen Can Cake

This 10" cake was made for a 45th Surprise Birthday Party and was to resemble a Copenhagen Smokeless Tobacco Can. It is covered in fondant and the writing and "tobacco" in the can are buttercream icing. The lid is also fondant and is finished with edible gold spray paint. I loved how this cake turned out!

Princess Barbie Cakes

I made these cakes for my nieces' birthday party! They are both obsessed with all things princess so I decided to make them the old school Barbie cakes (from the torso up is an actual Barbie). I sculpted the dress portion out of cake and covered it my homemade marshmallow fondant to look like a ballgown. These cakes were really tall (5 layers each!) and each serve approximately 20. Both of my nieces LOVED them (and got to keep the Barbie!)!

OSU Helmet Cake

I made this cake for my daughter's baptism. This 12" cake is covered in my homemade marshmallow fondant. The cross and the flowers are also fondant, her name and the bead border are buttercream icing, the flowers have sugar pearl centers and the cross is also bordered with sugar pearls. I was so happy with this cake!

These cakes were made for a retirement party. The gentleman worked for AK Steel and my client wanted a replica of his hard hat made! The hard hat is 2 and a half layers and is covered in my homemade fondant. The front has his name tag on it and the sides and the back have "reflectors" (I coated them with silver luster dust to give these a little shine) and they are also made of fondant. The sheet cake is iced and decorated in buttercream icing.

This 3-tiered square wedding cake (6", 8" and 10" tiers) is covered with my homemade marshmallow fondant. The vines, small leaves and bead border were piped on with vanilla buttercream icing and the larger leaves and flowers were cut from fondant. The middle tier has black fabric ribbon and the flowers topping the cake are fresh red roses. I was very happy with the way this cake turned out!!

This bride wanted each tier of her wedding cake to different. All three tiers are covered in my homemade marshmallow fondant. The bottom tier has the quote "You had me from hello", the middle tier is covered in buttercream dark purple flourishes, and the top tier has a royal icing dark purple monogram and is topped with a dark purple fondant tied bow (although in these pictures it is difficult to see). All three tiers have buttercream bead border.

Polka Dot & Butterfly Baby Shower Cake

This 10" baby shower cake was so simple, yet it turned out to be one of my favorite cakes! It is iced and decorated (the bead border and polka dots) with buttercream icing. The butterflies are made out of fondant and their bodies are sugar pearls.

The sides of the cake had chocolate chunks pressed into the chocolate buttercream icing because he loves chocolate!

All of the cakes are covered in fondant. The white ribbon is fabric and the shapes on the cakes and the daisies and ribbon roses are all fondant also. The Tinkerbell figurine on top of the mushroom was provided by the party host.

I was really pleased with how this camouflage cake turned out! It is an 8" cake covered and decorated with buttercream icing. The camo was done with a star tip and has a bead border.

The sand is graham cracker crumbs and the 50 and fish are made from royal icing.

The top cushion cake (yes, this is a cake too!) was my favorite part of the cake and I even made the little pink fondant buttons!
